On 6 October 2026, the NGO "Ukrainian Science Diaspora" held an online Infoday dedicated to the new strand of the programme Science Diaspora for Ukraine – mentorship for research hubs. The session was presented by the organisation's co-founder, Yevheniia Polishchuk and Uliana Zbezhkhovska.
Participants learned who can take part in the programme, how the Research Hub Mentorship format works, how matching with mentors takes place, the duration and format of the collaboration, and what results a hub team can achieve over three months.
The meeting was also a chance to get to know the Ukrainian Science Diaspora community more closely – its mission, areas of work and the scale of its network.
The diaspora in numbers
🌍 500 researchers in the diaspora network;
🔬 6 research hubs across 4 continents (5 in Ukraine, 1 abroad);
🤝 18 partner scientific diaspora organisations in 15 countries.
The organisation's mission is to build a global network that mobilises the human capital of the scientific diaspora — transferring knowledge, expertise and international experience to Ukraine for the sake of its research potential, international cooperation and sustainable development.
