The Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora NGO is launching a new strand of its programme Science Diaspora for Ukraine — mentorship for research hubs. The start is planned for November 2026.
The initiative aims to support research teams in Ukraine through collaboration with Ukrainian scientists and specialists working abroad. Over three months, each hub team will work together with a mentor on the goals it sets itself: developing international partnerships, preparing joint research and publications, launching grant initiatives, seeking international opportunities, and expanding their professional network.
Two waves of mentorship
The programme comprises two three-month waves:
- Wave I — November 2026 to January 2027
- Wave II — February to April 2027
Who can take part
Participation is open to research hubs created on the Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora platform. A research hub brings together scholars who share scientific interests, research themes, or the ambition to develop joint projects — and lets a team present itself on the platform's interactive map, making Ukrainian research visible to partners worldwide.
About the project
The mentorship programme is run by the Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora NGO together with the Innovative University NGO, within the grant project Science Diaspora and Diplomacy: Building Bridges of Solidarity with Ukraine, supported through the Bridges of Solidarity with Ukraine competition of the International Renaissance Foundation.
