On 4 November 2026, the NGO “Ukrainian Science Diaspora” launched the first cohort of its mentorship programme for research hubs – a new strand of the programme Science Diaspora for Ukraine.
For us, this is a meaningful result: 19 mentorship pairs have been formed, in which experienced Ukrainian diaspora researchers will work side by side with research teams in Ukraine. The first wave runs from 4 November 2026 to 4 February 2027.
Over three months, each pair will work on the goals set by the hub team itself: developing international partnerships, preparing joint research and publications, launching grant initiatives, finding new opportunities, and expanding their professional network.

We are continuing to recruit research hubs for Wave II of the mentorship (February – April 2027). If your team hasn’t created a research hub yet, now is the time – so you can join the next cohort.
