The Ukrainian Science Diaspora invites you to an online meeting with Olha Zadorozhna, researcher, founder, and host of the Policy Implications Podcast.
Podcasts are becoming an increasingly important tool for science communication. They help make research more accessible, engage broader audiences, increase the visibility of scientific ideas beyond academic journals, and create a space for meaningful conversations among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
On 29 May 2026 at 12:00 Kyiv time, an online meeting will be held with Olha Zadorozhna – a researcher in the field of governance, institutions, and resilience, Assistant Professor and Head of the Big Data Science program at Kozminski University, as well as Senior Researcher at the Institute of Urban and Regional Development in Poland.
Olha received her PhD from Bocconi University and holds an MA from the Kyiv School of Economics and the University of Houston. Her research interests include sanctions, economic and social resilience to crises, particularly in the context of russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as the impact of institutional settings on firms.
Olha is the founder and host of the Policy Implications Podcast – a podcast that discusses new research in economics and finance, as well as its significance for real-world policy. A special focus of the podcast is dedicated to Ukraine, the war, the economy, and the institutions that will shape the country’s future. She is also a co-founder of the New Dawn initiative, aimed at advocating Ukraine’s EU membership and identifying best practices for the country’s future reconstruction.
