Welcome to the New Academic Year!

Uliana Zbezhkhovska, 01 September 2026

In Ukraine, September 1 traditionally marks the beginning of a new school and academic year – a time of new knowledge, ideas, research, professional plans, and opportunities for growth.

For the Ukrainian educational and scientific community, this day carries special meaning. Despite the war, losses, and challenges, Ukrainian schools, universities, research institutions, and academic teams continue to work, teach, discover, support young people, and preserve Ukraine’s intellectual potential.

Ukrainian researchers in Ukraine and abroad remain part of a shared academic space. They develop international cooperation, support colleagues, create new research initiatives, mentorship programs, and partnerships that help make Ukrainian science visible globally.

The beginning of a new academic year reminds us that education and science are the foundation of Ukraine’s resilience, recovery, and future. Knowledge, critical thinking, research culture, and international engagement help society respond to challenges and build a strong country.

We wish students, educators, researchers, teachers, and the entire Ukrainian academic community inspiration, strength, new ideas, fruitful cooperation, and confidence in their work.

Нехай новий академічний рік принесе нові можливості для української науки, освіти та міжнародного партнерства.
