Ukrainian professionals working or planning to work in Ukraine’s recovery are invited to apply for the “Advancing Sustainable Development in Ukraine” program.
The program is designed to support leaders engaged in Ukraine’s reconstruction and help them develop sustainable, innovative, and scalable solutions for rebuilding infrastructure, communities, and regulatory systems.
The course combines online lectures, discussions, project group work, and the practical application of knowledge to real reconstruction projects. Participants will work on initiatives proposed by Ukrainian ministries, municipalities, or the private sector.
Key topics include sustainable reconstruction, public health, climate resilience, energy independence, green building, financing, public-private partnerships, innovation, entrepreneurship, and Ukraine’s integration into European regulatory and financial frameworks.
The program is intended for Ukrainian professionals from various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, architecture, urban planning, transport, finance, sustainability, public administration, civil society, business, academia, and municipalities. The course is not intended for clinicians, despite its origin in a school of public health.
The course will run over two semesters – Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. The format includes weekly two-hour live online sessions in English, project development groups, workshops, debates, and networking activities.
The program is offered free of charge by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in collaboration with international and Ukrainian partners, including the Institute for Global Prosperity at University College London, the London School of Economics, Dixi Group, and alumni of previous course iterations.
The application deadline is August 30, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible, as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and space is limited.
