On 7 May 2026, the online side event “Research and Technology Infrastructures as enablers of Ukraine’s modern and sustainable recovery”,will take place within the framework of the UN STI Forum 2026, organised by the European Commission (DG Research and Innovation) in cooperation with the EU Delegation to the United Nations in New York.
The event will bring together policymakers, international organisations, academia, and private sector representatives to discuss how science, technology, and innovation can support Ukraine’s recovery and long-term development.
The discussion will focus on rebuilding research infrastructures, strengthening innovation ecosystems, and integrating digital and green technologies in line with Sustainable Development Goal 9.
Key initiatives to be highlighted include:
- Research Infrastructures for the Future of Ukraine (RIFF)
- UNESCO’s UNESRALE programme
- International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine
