On the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine, a hybrid-format meeting titled “Nostrification and Legalization: Continuation” was held. The event was organized by the Ukrainian Science Diaspora in Poland to discuss current issues related to the recognition of Ukrainian diplomas and the legalization of Ukrainian citizens’ stay in Poland.

At the meeting, the following leading experts in this field spoke:
Natalia Chuiko, Senior Specialist at NAWA’s Education Recognition Bureau, provided a detailed overview of the process for recognizing Ukrainian diplomas and nostrifying academic degrees. She highlighted the available tools and procedures, who is eligible to use the diploma recognition services, whether it is necessary to be in Poland, and the international projects NAWA is implementing.
Victoria Hurochkina, President of the “Ukrainian Science Diaspora in Poland” Foundation, shared her experience with diploma nostrification at Polish universities. She noted that each university has its own specific requirements, so it is important to be aware of all possibilities and challenges.
Tetyana Gromova, founder of LegaLine, spoke about the legalization of Ukrainian citizens’ stay in Poland. She outlined the key aspects of Ukrainians’ legal status, the available legalization options and procedures, the required documentation, and the changes taking effect for Ukrainians on June 30, 2024.
