On 23 February 2026 at 10:30, an INFO DAY marking the anniversary of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine will take place in the Rectorate Hall of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV, Salón de Actos del Rectorado).
The event is organized by the Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora in Spain with the support of the BETA Technological Center, Universitat Politècnica de València, the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Valencia, and Lucia Zadorozhna, Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kingdom of Spain.
The aim of the event is to promote Ukrainian-Spanish cooperation and partnership in support of science and education during the war and in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
The program will include:
- an analysis of the state of Ukraine’s research and education sector as a result of russian aggression;
- an overview of international support for Ukrainian scholars during the war;
- concrete proposals for further cooperation between Ukrainian and Spanish institutions.
The event will bring together scholars, representatives of universities, research centers, diplomatic institutions, and civil society organizations with the aim of strengthening academic ties and developing new joint initiatives.
