Dr Anna Dubrovska

Anna Dubrovska is a Professor of Biomarkers for Individualized Radiooncology at OncoRay – National Center for Radiation Research in Oncology, Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. She received her doctoral degree in Genetics from the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2003.

She held postdoctoral positions at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Uppsala, Sweden (2003–2007), and at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation in San Diego and The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, USA (2007–2011). In 2011, she became a junior group leader of the "Biomarkers for Individualized Radiotherapy" group. Since 2016, she has been a tenured professor at the Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, and a group leader at the Institute of Radiooncology – OncoRay, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf.

She has co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in international journals. Her expertise includes the development of biomarkers for individualized radiotherapy, tumour radiation biology, and tumour radiosensitisation through combination strategies.

Within the Mentorship for Research Hubs programme, she can support research teams working in cancer research, radiobiology, molecular oncology and translational medicine.
