What this hub works on
The hub brings together research in social communications and media, with an emphasis on the theory and history of journalism, as well as strategic communications in the context of national security and military aggression. Members also study decolonization discourse and post-colonial approaches to nation-identifying discourse, alongside information resistance practices, in particular through micro-media during the Russia–Ukraine war. A further focus is information and communication resilience and information security within diaspora media networks, including the use of sociocommunication technologies and the transformation of advertising in the context of digital technologies.
