Uliana Zbezhkhovska, 22 October 2025

The Ukrainian Science Diaspora congratulates Anastasiia Shkvarok-Lisovenko, participant of the Science Diaspora for Ukraine Mentorship Program, on her successful scientific publication co-authored with her mentor Yevheniia Bushman (PhD, Research Scientist, Protein Science | Proteomics).

The article was published in the Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal under the title “Laboratory Markers of Chronic and Acute Stress: Diagnostic Value and Clinical Implications (Part 1: Pathophysiology of Acute and Chronic Stress in the Context of Its Influence on Cardiovascular System)”.

The publication explores laboratory markers of acute and chronic stress, their diagnostic value, and their influence on the cardiovascular system. The authors discuss the role of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, the autonomic nervous system (ANS), and biochemical indicators such as cortisol, catecholamines, and inflammatory markers in stress response.

This achievement is an example of successful collaboration within the Science Diaspora for Ukraine Program, in which mentors - Ukrainian scientists working abroad - support their colleagues in Ukraine, share expertise, and foster international cooperation.
