Meet our mentor: Anna Dubrovska

Anna Dubrovska is a Professor of Biomarkers for Individualized Radiooncology at OncoRay – National Center for Radiation Research in Oncology, Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany.

She earned her doctoral degree in Genetics from the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in 2003. She completed postdoctoral training at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (Uppsala), the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (San Diego), and The Scripps Research Institute (La Jolla) between 2003 and 2011.

Since 2011, she has led the “Biomarkers for the Individualized Radiotherapy” research group. In 2016, she became a tenured professor at Technische Universität Dresden and continues leading a group at Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf.

Her research focuses on biomarkers for personalized radiotherapy, tumor radiation biology, and radiosensitization strategies. She has co authored over 100 peer reviewed publications.
