On 21 September, Igor Lyman had a productive several-hour meeting with the leadership of Czexpats in Science, an institution that has been supporting the Czech scientific diaspora around the world for 5 years.
The meeting at the Bakala Foundation in Prague was attended by Czexpats in Science Director Matouš Glanc, Czexpats in Science Ukrainian project coordinator Petra Luláková, and a representative of the Ukrainian scientific diaspora in the Czech Republic.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Czexpats in Science took the initiative to support Ukrainian scientists who found themselves in the Czech Republic. And then they were willing to share their experience with the Ukrainian Science Diaspora initiative. As a result, Czexpats in Science's support of Ukrainian scientists is by no means limited to the borders of the Czech Republic, and the Czech experience is actively used both to form communities of Ukrainian scientists outside Ukraine and to create the Ukrainian Science Diaspora web platform
