On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 19:00 a public event will take place in Hanover: «Ukraine in Perspective: Democracy, Reforms, and Social Viability in Times of War», яwill be held at ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage (Theodor-Lessing-Platz 1A, 30159 Hannover).
During the discussion, participants will focus on key issues facing Ukraine today:
what constitutes civil society today, how Ukrainian citizens are resisting Russian aggression, and which democratic and social reforms are most important in the context of full-scale war.
The following individuals will participate in the discussion:
- Michael Dobbin — Doctor of Science, visiting professor at Leibniz University Hannover, author of the book The Political System of Ukraine;
- Oksana Chorna — representative of the Research Center for Eastern Europe at the University of Bremen;
- Viola von Cramon is a former member of the European Parliament.
The event will serve as a platform for professional dialogue between scientists, politicians, and the public on the future of Ukraine, its democratic stability, and European prospects.
