Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Andrii Chumak on receiving the IEEE Magnetics Society Mid-Career Award 2026

Andrii Chumak received the award for fundamental achievements in magnonics, spintronics, and magnon-based computing, which have had a significant impact on the global scientific community.

Andrii Chumak is a graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and currently serves as a professor at the University of Vienna, where he leads an active research group in the fields of nanomagnetism and magnonics. Under his leadership, the group has gained recognition as one of the leading centers in Europe in this field, investigating phenomena at the nanoscale and advanced architectures for magnonic logic - based computing.

The international recognition of Professor Andrii is not only a personal achievement but also demonstrates the value of Ukrainian scientific education and training for global science.
