On June 25, 2025, the Ukrainian Science Diaspora initiative hosted an online event titled:
“iDiaspora Tools: Opportunities for the Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora”.
The event provided an overview of the iDiaspora.org digital platform and the broader initiatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) aimed at empowering global diaspora communities. The session was designed to help Ukrainian researchers, activists, and diaspora members explore international collaboration opportunities through diaspora engagement.
During the event, participants learned about:
- the features of iDiaspora.org for researchers and professionals;
- IOM’s efforts to engage diasporas in sustainable development processes;
- examples of successful partnerships and practical tips for involvement.
Speaker:
- Annie Yunxian Jiang, Diaspora Engagement Specialist at IOM Headquarters (Geneva). Annie works with IOM’s Global Diaspora Engagement Team and leads partnerships with governments, diaspora organizations, businesses, and youth initiatives. She has extensive experience in labor mobility, environmental migration, and migration governance across the Asia-Pacific region.
