On February 3, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo Vydoinyk, together with members of Ukrainalaisten yhdistys Suomessa ry / the Association of Ukrainians in Finland and its Chair, Vasyl Hutsul, gathered at the Embassy Ukrainian scholars and educators working at Finnish higher education institutions and research organizations. The meeting featured a highly engaging and substantive discussion.
During the meeting, the Ambassador and the scholars discussed current issues related to strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian and Finnish researchers and institutions, opportunities for conducting joint research, and support for scientific initiatives. Ukrainian scholars shared their own experience of working and being involved in Finnish universities, and also outlined перспективes and opportunities for joint projects and academic exchanges. An important outcome of the meeting was the development of future joint initiatives, in particular the creation of an online platform that will help Ukrainian scholars, researchers, and academic staff access up-to-date information on Finnish and international grants.
