The Pilot Mentorship Program "Science Diaspora for Ukraine" Has Launched

On February 4, 2025, the pilot project of a mentorship program for Ukrainian researchers who continue their academic work in Ukraine during the war — "Science Diaspora for Ukraine" — was officially launched. The initiative was developed by the Ukrainian Science Diaspora.In total, the program involves more than 30 participants across 12 mentorship groups, with up to 5 mentees in some groups.

The project brings together scientific communities from leading countries around the world, including the United States, Switzerland, Canada, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Sweden. This broad international representation allows the program to provide unique expert support to Ukrainian researchers.

During the introductory meeting, participants learned more about the program, became familiar with the core principles of mentorship, discussed expectations, and met their mentors.The program will run from February to May 2025, offering not only professional support but also opportunities to build long-term international research collaborations.Participants will receive guidance on preparing academic publications, grant applications, conference presentations, and solving other professional challenges.
