Co-founder of Ukrainian Science Diaspora Participated in the 6th Polish-British Science Forum

On March 17, 2026, the 6th Polish-British Science Forum was held at the University of Warsaw, bringing together representatives of academia, government, and international organisations to discuss the future of scientific cooperation and support for Ukrainian research communities.

Prof. Yevheniia Polishchuk, Co-founder of the Ukrainian Science Diaspora initiative, participated in Panel III: “Support for Ukrainian Science During and After the War,” delivering the introductory remarks.

Her remarks focused on:

  • the demographic challenges affecting Ukrainian higher education;
  • the evolving profile of future students, including veterans and adult learners;
  • the importance of international research mobility and cooperation;
  • the development of structured collaboration mechanisms, including seed funding and mentorship programmes between Ukrainian, EU, and UK institutions.

Additionally, the Ukrainian Science Diaspora initiative was presented as:

  • a digital hub for international academic collaboration;
  • a consolidated platform for diaspora engagement;
  • a science diplomacy knowledge provider.

The panel featured speakers from Poland, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine, highlighting the critical role of international partnerships in supporting Ukrainian science during and after the war.
