On October 28, 2025, a reception titled “EU-U.S. Research & Innovation Collaboration” was held at the Residence of the European Union to the United States. The event was organized by the EU Ambassador to the United States, Jovita Neliupšienė, in cooperation with URAXESS North America.
The reception brought together representatives of the scientific and diplomatic communities from EU Member States and the United States, as well as organizations working in the field of international research and innovation.
Halyna Padalko, PhD, representative of the Ukrainian Science Diaspora, took part in the discussions focused on enhancing research cooperation between the European Union and the United States.
Participants discussed prospects for international collaboration, research mobility, and opportunities for researchers within the Horizon Europe and EURAXESS programs.
The presence of Ukrainian representatives highlighted Ukraine’s active role in global research networks and emphasized the importance of science diplomacy as a tool for international cooperation.
About the Event
The reception aimed to celebrate EU–U.S. cooperation in research and innovation, promote exchange among researchers, and raise awareness of opportunities for participation in joint international projects.
The event also served as a networking platform for representatives of universities, research centers, and diplomatic missions to discuss new areas of partnership and the promotion of researcher mobility.
