PhD Position in Ukrainian Studies at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland)

University of St. Gallen (HSG, Switzerland) invites applications for a PhD Position in Ukrainian Studies (m/w/d) . The position is funded at 75% FTE, with a planned start date on 2 February 2026.

The position is hosted at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and involves interdisciplinary research related to Ukrainian Studies, including history, culture, literature, or social processes.

Applicant profile

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with strong academic results
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to conduct independent research and work in an international team
  • Eligibility for the HSG PhD program in Organisational Studies and Cultural Theory

Terms

A three-year paid doctoral position with access to conferences, publications, research events, seminars, supervision, and university research infrastructure.
