Mentoring support from Ukrainian economists in the diaspora: countries of mentors 2026

Ukrainian Science Diaspora, 03 February 2026

The mentoring program “Science Diaspora for Ukraine” continues its activities aimed at supporting researchers in the field of economic sciences in 2026. This cycle of the program brings together Ukrainian researchers working abroad and Ukrainian scientists seeking professional development, international contacts, and expert support in their field.

The program mentors are representatives of leading universities and research institutions in various countries around the world. Such international expertise facilitates access to global scientific networks and creates new opportunities for joint research, publications, and academic cooperation.

Scientists from the following countries are involved in the mentoring support of the program:

  • United States: representatives of world-class universities specializing in applied macroeconomic research, monetary and fiscal policy, taxation, economic growth, pricing, and business cycles.

  • United Kingdom: experienced economists with expertise in financial economics, banking, applied econometrics, big data, and development economics.

  • Norway: research groups focusing on institutional economics and sustainable development.

  • Slovakia: academic institutions working on issues of academic and research integrity, quality of higher education, technology transfer, and intellectual property rights protection.

Other Ukrainian scholars from leading universities and research centers in the US and Europe are also joining the program, participating in joint publication and research initiatives.

This international mentoring support not only promotes the professional development of Ukrainian economists, but also strengthens ties between the Ukrainian scientific community and the global academic network!
