Yulia Bezvershenko was born in Talne, Cherkasy region. In 2008, she graduated fromthe National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, in 2010-2019 she was a senior lecturerat this university. Since 2012, she worked at Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical PhysicsNAS of Ukraine, where she defended her dissertation. She was the Deputy Chairman ofthe Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Councilof Young Scientists of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the NAS of Ukraine.In 2019, she received a master's degree in public policy and governance at the KyivSchool of Economics. In 2020-2021 - Director General of Directorate of Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Since September 2021 -in the USA, initially as a fellow of the Ukrainian Emerging Leaders Program at StanfordUniversity (2021-2022). Since 2022, she has been a co-founder and co-coordinator of theScience at Risk initiative. Since July 2024, she has been a Senior Program Officer at theNational Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), where she leadsand coordinates the Academies' efforts to support Ukraine.
