Anastasiia Shevchenko was born in Kherson. In 2013, she graduated with a bachelor's degree and in 2014 with a master's degree in history from Kherson State University. In 2016-2018, she worked as an editor in the information and analytical department of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (Suspilne Kherson). In 2017-2019, she was a journalist at the Center for Investigative Journalism (Kyiv). In 2021, she completed postgraduate studies at Zaporizhzhia National University, defending her PhD in the "History and Archaeology" program. Since May 2022, she has been working at the University of Lausanne. Since 2024, she has been Vice-President of the Geneva Center for Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution.
