The successful extension of the initiatives is always a pleasing event. In February 2023, under the mentorship of Professor Elizabeth Wood, we started a collaboration with a group of students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to develop the "Ukrainian Science Diaspora " web platform.
This initiative started during the first decade in June last year, when three enthusiasts from MIT and two representatives of the newly established Scholar Support Office met online. Afterwards, in summer 2022, a delegation from MIT visited Ukraine, where a number of meetings were organised with Ukrainian research and educational institutions.
In autumn 2022, MIT Science and Technology Initiatives introduced a special MIT-Ukraine programme aimed at supporting student and academic relationships between MIT and Ukraine. Consequently, six students selected to develop the "Ukrainian Science Diaspora " web platform will be financially supported by this programme.
