This post is not two-in-one - it’s three-in-one 😉
First - reflection report.
Second - an announcement a reminder why it’s worth joining us next time.
Third - just a moment of gratitude and reflection.
On April 10–11, we spent two intense days with people who are shaping the future of academia - even when the world feels shaky.
We came together as a community that doesn’t just teach or research,
but lives out the third mission of universities: serving society.
But to serve - we must lead.
Be the ones who stand strong no matter what.
Who see technology not just as a tool - but as support.
Who build connections - as deep as roots.
That’s why these days were devoted to what truly matters:
- Technology & Academic Careers in the Digital Age
* Olga Polotska (National Research Foundation of Ukraine)
* Andrij Trokhymchuk (MSCA4Ukraine, University of Ljubljana)
- Resilience and Well-Being in Academia
* Orest Suvalo (Ukrainian Catholic University)
* Lisa Leiner (McPraxis, Austria)
- International Collaboration & Social Impact
* Iryna Skliar (Royal Agricultural University, UK)
* Christian Schopper (University of Vienna)
We worked, we listened, we shared - and we felt it:
this was more than an event.
It was a space where people don’t burn out,
where there’s meaning and energy,
where real change begins.
And here’s the big one:
📅 The next gathering is just one year away.
And if everything works out - we’ll spend five full days together in Vienna.
Five days of real, in-depth, joint work -
on education that holds up two countries - Ukraine and Austria.
💭 So maybe it’s time.
Time to join the conversation.
Because change doesn’t come on its own -
we make it happen.
Sincere gratitude to all the speakers🇺🇦🇦🇹 and participants who made this possible❤️
