Yevheniia Polishchuk to Join Prof Anatoly Oleksiyenko for the Global Higher Education Webinar on 23 April 2026

On 23 April 2026, Yevheniia Polishchuk, D.Sc. (Economics) and Co-founder of the Ukrainian Science Diaspora initiative, will join Prof. Anatoly Oleksiyenko for a global higher education webinar.

She will present findings from a nationwide study assessing the impact of the Ukrainian science diaspora on Ukraine’s recovery. Based on a survey of 300 Ukrainian scientists working abroad, the research explores scholars’ engagement and motivation, barriers to cooperation, and potential mechanisms for sustainable collaboration with Ukrainian institutions.

The event will highlight key findings on science diplomacy, diaspora-driven support for Ukraine, and the role of digital platforms in strengthening global research ties. It will also offer practical recommendations for universities, policymakers, and international partners on how to better engage the Ukrainian science diaspora as a strategic resource for reconstruction, innovation, and internationalisation.
