A friendly Polish-Ukrainian meeting was held with representatives of the Ukrainian Science diaspora in Poland / Ukraińska diaspora naukowa w Polsce on the peculiarities of writing an academic CV. The event featured a distinguished guest speaker, Tomasz Szapiro, who reviewed in detail the formal issues of preparing an academic CV and noted its peculiarities in comparison with a CV for business. His presentation was extremely useful and practical, as he revealed the basic structure of a CV and shared valuable tips on how to write motivation and recommendation letters. The peculiarity of their preparation and reference to key competencies and achievements is very important for creating a convincing package of documents for employment.

Viktoriia Hurochkina, President of the Ukrainian Science diaspora in Poland, spoke about the strategic prospects for the integration of Ukrainian scientists, the goals and activities of the foundation in Poland. She shared her vision of how Ukrainian scientists can cooperate with the international scientific community, develop their own projects and make a significant contribution to the development of science in Poland and Ukraine.

The event was very important and informative. It provided us with the opportunity to see the wide opportunities for cooperation and development of the Ukrainian Sciencecommunity in Poland. Expert Tomasz Szapiro analysed the CVs of the participants and provided valuable advice. Understanding the peculiarities of the academic environment, including the structure and key elements, is extremely important for the success of a scientist.

A real dialogue was created between representatives of different academic cultures, which strengthens the network of Ukrainian scholars in the diaspora. The Foundation of Ukrainian Scientists in Poland strives to create favourable conditions for the development of our scientific community and to promote research, knowledge exchange and cooperation.
