Launch of the initiative "Ukrainian Science Diaspora in Poland" / "Ukraińska diaspora naukowa w Polsce" with the support of the Young Scientists Council at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Scholar Support Office.
The aim of the initiative is: Formation of a progressive network of representatives of the scientific and expert community for the purposes of support, adaptation, integration into the European Research Area, protection of rights, interests and professional development of their social capital while building horizontal communications and accelerating the processes of Ukraine's recovery and integration into the EU.
The objectives of the initiative in Poland will contribute to
- Institutional cooperation between Ukrainian and foreign universities and research institutions;
- strengthening the cohesion of Ukrainians abroad to implement ideas related to post-war recovery through the development of science;
- improving the image of Ukrainian science in the world;
- establishing effective networking in various fields of science both within the Ukrainian science diaspora and between its representatives and scientists in Ukraine;
- organising mentoring by representatives of the Ukrainian science diaspora who have lived abroad for a long time;
- raising the visibility of the scientific activities of the community members;
- launching and implementing charitable projects.
