On the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine, the Center for Ukrainian Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (CSUkr) and the Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora in Poland Foundation (UND Pl) invite you to take part in two events: the International Conference "Horizon of Science in Ukraine: Innovation, International Cooperation, and Resilience" (HNUA 2025) and the seminar "Poland and Ukraine – A Scientific Future from the Perspective of Contemporary Economic Outlook."

The conference is held within the framework of initiatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine concerning the development of open science, international scientific cooperation, and support for Ukrainian researchers. The seminar is initiated by the Center for Ukrainian Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics as part of efforts to build Polish-Ukrainian academic dialogue.

The purpose of organizing the HNUA 2025 Conference is to create a unique platform for discussing the processes of forming an open scientific space, Ukraine’s role in global talent mobility networks, as well as ways to expand international academic cooperation and implement innovations as key factors of economic development. Participants will be able to exchange best practices in science diplomacy, integration into global research initiatives, and overcoming challenges facing the academic community in the context of transformation and recovery.

The Ukrainian Scientific Diaspora in Poland Foundation (hereinafter – the Foundation) initiates the launch of the periodical Research Magazine of Ukrainian Diaspora, published in three languages – Ukrainian, Polish, and English. The journal will become a platform for sharing scientific achievements and future project plans of Ukrainian researchers, especially those who actively cooperate with the Polish academic community and international scientific networks.

The mission of the journal is aimed at supporting and promoting research projects and results of Ukrainian scientists, PhD students, and young researchers. The target group includes scholars who conduct scientific activities both outside Ukraine and within its territory, and who develop scientific cooperation in the international environment. The goal of the journal is to create a virtual platform to represent the intellectual contribution of the Ukrainian scientific diaspora to the development of global science. The virtual platform is an effective tool of scientific diplomacy that supports strengthening Ukraine’s authority in the field of international research and innovation.

Special attention is paid to cooperation with Polish scientific institutions and academic partners who have not only facilitated the integration of Ukrainian researchers into the European Research Area but also continue to actively develop long-term scientific ties. The journal seeks to highlight the significant role of Polish colleagues in joint scientific progress, fostering intercultural dialogue, and creating sustainable platforms for joint projects with high scientific and social value. The platform is aimed at the regular distribution of concise research results from projects conducted in one or more countries.
